We want our customers to know almost all our crosses and centers come from Europe which is why our prices are what they are. Some are custom-made for us in the USA and in Asia. 

Most of our findings come from the Czech Republic and Asian countries where labor practices are well regulated. Only a few of our jump rings and split rings come from China and we are researching to change that.

Our beads come from the Czech Republic or Israel unless otherwise listed.

Remember what you are paying for!

We have made a diligent effort to contact all our suppliers for information concerning the metal content of their products. We understand that many countries are now enforcing regulations concerning the acceptable levels of both lead and nickel. All of our suppliers have assured us that their standard manufacturing practices comply with these regulations.  There is a growing trend in the market place to obtain cheaply made goods from China. In fact the largest Religious Articles importer in the USA is flooding the USA with them, selling them at the same premium as European-made ones and raking in the profits. The question we have to ask ourselves as Christians, is, does the end justify the means? In good conscience, we think not! Purchasing these items supports a repressive regime that forces abortions and sterilizations and contributes heavily to the economic downturn in our own countries, not to mention the direct toll on Chinese women and children who are, after all, human beings, loved by God.

Further, Chinese manufacturers follow NO standard regulations concerning metal content and in fact, religious articles made in China have tested out to having hundreds of times the acceptable lead levels. They are NOT safe for human use! This is partly because many are manufactured by very small "home" molders and they use any meltable metal available to make their pieces. Lead has a low melting point, making it a very desireable "filler" in their alloys. These are then sold to larger businesses who claim to be "manufacturers" when in reality they are simply buyers of these goods. They, in turn, sell these goods to overseas buyers who think they are buying from the actual manufacturer who makes all manner of false assurances concerning the metal content, which, in truth, they cannot verify.
We recommend this ARTICLE documenting the situation. The article is quite long and extensive and well illustrated, with many photos of the factories inside and out, as well as the dormitories. The workers are mostly women and children.  Many details as to working hours and conditions, pay, and the Chinese laws plus a graph outlining the trail the crucifixes take from the manufacturer to, for example, St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. We condemn such practises and refuse to purchase from Chinese-source wholesalers.

So if a religious article seller's prices seem too good to be true - BEWARE!
